Ventured to a place,
Far from reality.
Delved right into a glistening wall,
Shimmering and cool.
Felt the wash of refreshing air,
Passed over,
As though suddenly,
Unearthed.
No wind,
And no blinding light.
Only glow,
Only fire flies.
Sight deceives well,
In this realm.
What once was,
Still attempts to make it's presence felt.
What no longer lives,
Walks through corridors,
Reaches out to touch,
Sending shivers down limbs,
Right before the awakening.
Resume daily routine,
Operate,
Speak,
Carry,
Love,
Reinforce,
Absorb,
Run,
Like the sun will not return.
The yearning never stops.
Nor do the impulses to be better.
Confusion comes in waves.
But still,
Fight to protect and keep your soul sane,
Even in the midst of immense doubt.
